There are things i will not do

There are things i will not do
there are words i will not spew

i will not run, hide, or ignore danger
i will not trust my family to a stranger

i cannot bare to see evil march unchecked by
i would rather fight a bitter fight till i die

i will not beg for scraps or morsels of food
to be a beggar, at least for me, I'd feel rude

i cannot sit and watch people suffer and die
or to build my relationships on one big lie

i will not bow down to those unworthy of power
or get clean from murder's cold cruel shower

there are many things i will not do
I'd like to stand with the brave few

there are things i will do though
