He died a youngin'... -war-

by aisyned   Mar 30, 2007

He was just a young boy,
looking for an adventure,
but as he enlisted,
he just found danger,

he wanted freedom for his country,
he promised himself no less,
but he didn't feel brave,
he was under so much stress,

he stayed his spot on the front line,
as he marched upon the Field,
no one in his is platoon stopped,
but the enemy told them to yield,

he was scared he had to admit,
but the guy beside him said don't be afraid,
then he heard shouting,
and on started the raid,

guns being fired,
cannons being blown,
his never seen so much violence,
and suddenly he froze to stone,

he lowered to the ground,
and shot from ground level,
little did he know,
in front of him is his devil,

as bullets flew past,
his excitement for the war went dim,
his bravery,
turned grim,

suddenly he felt a sting,
and and the blood rushed out his shoulder,
then a kick rolled in,
it felt like being beaten by a boulder,

his enemy stared at him with evil eyes,
and shot him in the head,
and next thing he knew,
his young enemy was dead.

there the young boy
surrounded by blood lade,
the war was such a mess,
he didn't even have a grave

he died a frightened young boy,
a child non the less,
when his family went to look for him,
they found nothing but a bloody mess,

there he was eyes wide with terror,
white as the white can be,
he died,
only wanting his country to be free,

He was just a young boy
looking for an adventure,
but as he enlisted,
he just found danger....................
