Razorblade Kisses

by Gem   Mar 30, 2007

She peers at the metal blade
Wondering, does she dare...
Is she plunges into her wrist
Would anybody care?

Too much has been going wrong
There's no hits, only misses
It was only matter of time
Until she found razor blade kisses

She'd heard all of the stories
Of how your problems go away
You feel a sense of great release
At least, thats what they say

So she rolled up her sleeve
And pressed the razor to her skin
This was for all the hurtful taunts
And the pain she had within

But when push came to shove
As the tears came falling fast
She found couldn't do the deed
When she tried to make a slash

She wiped the tears from her eyes
She'd found another way
She didn't need to cut herself
Because of words people say

She threw the blade away from her
Because she was stronger than that
Cutting wasn't a way of escape
It was just another trap...
