She Loves Me Not

by Goran Rahim   Apr 7, 2007

A young girl
With a broken flower in her hand
As she dropped each petal
Her eyes were full of hope
For the last petal.
"He loves me"
"He loves me not"
"He loves me"
"He loves me not"

When she noticed me
She presented me a fresh flower
"You do the same,
It helps a lot"

I looked at the beautiful flower
And responded
"Why ruin a fresh flower
When I know
She loves me not?"

* Inspired by a famous quote of Bittersweet of P&Q
