Thank You God

by End Of Eternity   Apr 9, 2007

Sometimes i just sit back and wonder
What exactly my childhood was all about?
Always complaining for not being loved
And my brother was loved without a doubt

Comparing my parents with what friends had
I used to cry all the time feeling unwanted one
Made plans of running far away someday
Till i realized being parents is not such fun

My parents always used to tell me something
You'll understand when you have your own child
Now i realize how hard it is to create a shelter
Just for your loved ones to have a protected life

Sometimes i just sit back and wonder
How bias i was in judging my parent's love
Though atleast i acknowledged in living years
By thanking to our master sitting high above

** Thank You God for sending two Angels in the image of my Father & Mother.

Luanne sure picked a wonderful choice for her favorite poem by you. It takes us growing up with our own family before we really see what scarifices our parents made for us.

My parents always used to tell me something
You'll understand when you have your own child

I heard these lines growing up many times from my own parents.
Excellent job on this tribute to your wonderful Mom and Dad

This was a beautiful piece of poetry. I especially loved the following lines:
"My parents always used to tell me something
You'll understand when you have your own child"
-- So do my parents to me. =]]

I believe it is truly an honour to be born unto this world with such wonderful, loving parents. Nice poem, as alway! A joy to read... thank you for sharing.
    Love,

Somehow having a child changes everything....the whole world and everyone in it are different...and we then truely understand what it is to love as only a parent can. Nicely written piece that shines with love for the two angels who gave you life! 5/5 Debbie
