Tale of the weeping tree (death of a broken-hearted)

by isabel   Apr 13, 2007

I am telling you the story of the weeping tree
It's not beautiful to hear, it's something you'll never see
You might not want to hear it, but I'll tell it anyway
It's something you need to know, nothing more will I say

It's about a sensitive girl, who fell in love, one day
Her loved one became a friend and, after some time, walked away
Her heart remained sadly broken for many centuries
Now, everything is dead, except her weeping memories

That girl already suffered enough, she couldn't erase the pain
Weeping tears of sorrow, this fragile person went insane
She rain into the forest, when they found her, she was dead
Her blood was mixed up with the rain, at least, that's what they said

What no one remembered, is that she died under a tree
There remained her immortal soul, where no one could see
The blood, rain and sorrow became the soul of this sad plant
To you, a strange advice was, through this story teller, sent

"Though my body is dead, my soul remained alive
Human body is weak, but souls easily survive
If you're a broken-hearted, please have hope, don't die like me
I could have been anything, but only became a weeping tree"
