Her tears drew you in
her sadness broke your heart
you wanted to touch her
to take the pain away
be the one to make her smile
but you didn't understand
what was behind those eyes
eyes that could bring you to your knees
with a simple glance
some way some how
you got to her heart
and made it beat again
without realizing it
you took the sadness
right out of her eyes
and you fell in love
with her shy smile
those eyes of hers
are now like a cats
filled with life, curiosity
and just a touch of mischief
she knows she could never
come close to repaying you
but she'll gladly spend a lifetime
trying to make you as happy
as you've made her.
This poem was really good. It started off a little sad, and then as you went on, it got brighter and brighter. It ended off nicely. It was a very sweet poem.
