New Page (Back in Business)

Looking at the past
-- a scar I fear will stay --
I try to swim up to the shore
and open a new page.

The ink is fresh,
the binding tight;
this little book will be just right
to open up and start anew
with pages that aren't black and blue.

The paper: creme.
The cover: white.
I'm dreaming of what I could write.

Someday I know I'll fill this page,
with words of love and words of rage,
There's only pen,
no pencil near.
This time mistakes are loud and clear.

I'll start here on a new page
and I hope you'll stay and see
these words that I'll be writing
and the show put on by me.

    That must be a great feeling! Im still struggling and its frustrating as hell. Someday's I try to write and when I read over it, it sounds forced. Another snack to feed my bin!

    I really enjoyed reading this poem. The flow was great.

    Such an amazing poem for something that isn't a normal topic written about. Just wanted to say I love your style of writing. All of the poems I've read by you have left me in awe.
