Poems-And-Quotes (2 Year Anniversary of Registering)

There is a place I call my home,
A website known as Poems-and-Quotes;
An escape from reality
into a soothing fantasy.

I've been here for almost two years,
no other website has come near
to what I've found in P & Q
-- A place for me
-- A place for you.

A group of dedicated people
all of whom I've grown to love.
Posting poems, and quotes, and threads...
Making friends and making clubs.

I swear, this place is like a dream;
an escape from reality.
I find my grades decrease with time
as I spend longer "on-the-line".

I Found this website in eighth grade
-- My first poem stunk; Called "Float Away".
But soon my writing had progressed
... the people here, they are the best.

They criticized up to the point
that some would get annoyed...
But soon I followed all their hint;
not long after, I'd become an addict.

All my space time
I spend online,
It's a place where I can call my home.
Even when I'm losing control,
I can always come to Poems-And-Quotes.

I'm looking forward to many more years,
you can be assured that I'm gonna stay here.
I'm here to stay, for eternity
With this Poetry Community.

    That is different, but your expressing your love for the website and thats all that matters right? Some people don't understand the importance of poetry to certain people, and this lets people know how seriosuly and how important this website is. It also goes to show what peotry does for you. I think this was a great poem as are your others! You never really find a male who has a TRUE passion for poetry, but I've found one! Kepp up your great work!

    Aww how sweet.. it's really nice how you really appreciate this poem.. I know what you mean by saying it's an escape from reality.. same for me.. it's one of the few places where I can just let go and say whatever I have to say about anything.. excellent poem =]
