I'd tear out my heart
If it's what I must do
To forget all the love
I held here for you

It still tortures my mind
When I see your face
I'm convinced I'm fine
Then fall out of place

Best friends and back
All within my head
Should I or shouldn't I?
The question is dead.

I know the answer
And knew for a time
Love wasn't possible
You can't be mine

But the burning remained
The fire still raged
It's scorching my soul
From keeping it caged

I hate that I love you
Does this even make sense?
I want you I need you
Forget my defense.

The mask is itching
The smile...it hurts.
Short phone calls ending
Makes it much worse.

What shall I do now,
And where shall I go?
You can't console me
Because you don't know.
