READY FOR LOVE???

I am ready for love,
all the joy and the pain.
plus all the time that it takes
so that i may stay in your good grace.

id quickly give up my freedom,
to be held in your captivity.
but you always said
"be careful what you ask for..cuz you might receive"
but if you asked me tomorrow,
id say exactly the same thing.

because i am ready for love,
all of the joy and the pain that it may bring.
though I'm happy with this sweet melody that you sing.

would you please lend me your ears,
i promise that i will never complain
all that i need is for you to acknowledge i am here.

because i am ready for love...

    A good poem, a little choppy. Maybe just needs some work. I guess maybe I just don't like it so much as I loved your other ones. Can't say why. Don't mean to say anything that might hurt, I'm just a bit blunt I guess.
