I Have To Move On

How can you say goodbye,
To everything that we had?
Doesnt it hurt at all,
Or even make you a little bit sad?

I guess I was asking to much,
When I asked if you would wait.
But I guess you were saying to much,
When you said you were here to stay.

God, I hate this feeling,
The one that I have right now.
I've got to get over this,
Some way, some how.

Even though you promised you wouldnt,
Lying is something that you did.
You lied to yourself and to me,
Your true feelings were deeply hid.

Sad to say,I have to move on,
And get you out of my mind.
I'll try to make my tears disappear,
Even though happiness is something I'll never find.

    I like this poem, its deep and well written. Not to mention I felt what you were saying. The flow was good, the word choice was great, but I disagree with the concept! :P Its still good and gets a 5/5

    I felt this way at one time as well, I eventually got over her and now I'm even more in love with the girl I'm with currently! :P So, don't think happiness is something you won't find, it just takes time...

    Wonderful poem, at first...there wasn't quiet that much emotion but then, BANG!
    This stanza set everything on fire...
    I guess I was asking to much,
