Trying To Be Strong

Tears are streaming down my face,
I cant take anymore of this kind of pain.
I can hear my heart constantly race,
I'm starting to drive myself insane.
I never have any fun,
Because all I do is think about him.
Lord what has he done?
Him leaving has become a terrible sin.
All I do is lay in my bed,
With his voice running through my mind.
I think about everything he has said,
Through his words,happiness is what I find.
But then reality catches my eye,
And I realize he's not here.
God sometimes I want to die,
Knowing he's not near.
I'm trying to be strong,
For his sake and for mine.
So I listen to our song,
To help pass the time.
But I still am very sad,
Because he's gone away.
But I know the love that we had,
In our hearts will continue to stay.

    God bless him honey and you too!....I can't even imagine what its like to have someone you love so far away, let alone fighting for the country...you must be proud of that :-).....this poem was awesome and don't let the distance ruin your love!!

    To me this poem wasn't as good as the other one I read, I liked the meaning portrayed behind it and I know you were trying to pour your heart out into this poem because of what you wrote at the bottom but the emotion just wasn't that strong to me. Overall I give this a 4/5. A good effort. ~mel

    It was okay. i like it. but to be honest, maybe u shouldnt ryhme every other line with eachother. go check out my poems and tell me what you think.
    may i make a suggestion? just rhyme the second lines and last lines like my poems.
