Fulfilling Dreams

by Lynzie   Aug 30, 2007

She's just a girl alone in the dark
A girl that didn't know and never would of thought
That she would turn out the way she is now
She sits at night and asks God how

How did I go from who I used to know?
To a girl just putting on a show
Trying to smile through my life so know one can see
Just what exactly curiosity has done to me

They told her what would happen if she gave in
Just what exactly would happen if she bent?
But for one night she didn't care just wanted to have fun
Now her whole world has crashed and come undone

She's pacing back in forth trying to think of ways to tell
Just how much to her dad she had failed
Not only was it once but she continues to
Keeps going back doing what she shouldn't do

She can't help but to constantly feel the need
She wishes she could go back never touched the speed
That hit led to another again and again
Her future slowly slipped, she had reached the end

A tear started to run down her face as she looked at a picture
Not just any picture but one that contained her little sister
As she snapped back to reality it was time
She had to make up her mind

Was she going to take a hit or tell them no
Screw up her life and put on a show
Or be the person she knows she is
She grabbed the picture and said this

"My sister needs me, I love my dad, and I'm too smart
Its not worth it, I'm not going to tear my life apart
My choice has been made so it seems
I'm not going to fail I will fulfill my dreams".
