Blackened by a golden heart

An undefined romance,
Blacked by a golden heart,
Worn out from love,
Each limb was torn apart,

Each guitar string you played,
With the note upon your fingertip,
A tear begins to fall,
Reminiscing your soft lips,

My memories are still consumed,
For all I did for you,
A love gone unacknowledged,
A golden heart turned blue,

Seeing you walk across the sea,
Further from my arms,
I cry sometimes without you here,
As does the ocean with all its charms,

Since you've been gone,
It hasn't been the same,
The light fades to dark,
Growing in ashes from this flame,

Each cut you made me feel,
Every scar you left behind,
Will guide me through eternity,
As a lover who became blind,

It's hard to say how I feel,
As these years passed us by,
Your presence pierces my mind
Even through my mid July,

Still your ghost haunts my dreams,
Enters my soul, takes life from me,
And each time you ride away,
I know I'm no longer free.
