Song we call life

by ben thompson   Dec 23, 2007

Strumming on the lyre, this precious song we call life.
Resistant to the discord of all evils sadness and strife.

Silken strings of mercy flow fluidly through open hands.
Beautiful sounds of creation giving compassion to understand.

Harmony's tune of living breath, melting into my soul.
Temporarily forgotten stresses of the world's heavy toll.

Breezes hum through rustling leaves born the spirit of birth and sight
Weightless now above the trees rising to take salvation's flight.

Hope rapidly soars as the lifting musical notes begin to cease.
Times passage has made me tired the Lord sends eternal relief.

What a beautiful piece you have penned.

Harmony's tune of living breath, melting into my soul.
Temporarily forgotten stresses of the world's heavy toll.

This stanza really touched my heart. How nice it would be to forget the heavy tolls of life.
