Dreaming on clouds

by Dark Secrets   Jan 24, 2008

As I lay on the long tickly grass
And watch the golden sun turn brass
It sunk into the west with all its mass

The weather cooler, nothing but clouds you find
And the warmth of sun-rays declined
Behind the horizon they reclined

"I looked above and wondered, "what if?"
What if I could fly up high to a cloud above a cliff?
And dream dreams on that puffy white whiff?"

I sleep a sleep of a thousand nights
To forget the nightmares that give me a fright
I thought the thought that put me on a flight

To the clouds I was going high above
Lighter than vapor, the wind gave me a shove
On my way up I even met a dove

Like a queen I tend to the biggest cloud
All the dreams, to me they bowed
And for me to experience them they allowed

For hours I rested on luxury fluff
So comfy - cozy I dreamt of a prince who was buff
My miseries were over, life wasn't so tough

Something wet trickled across my back
Suddenly I fell just like a sack
I fell so hard I heard my neck crack

Opening my eyes, I realized it was just a dream
The rain pouring hard had stopped my scream
I felt it was true, how real it did seem

A SUPERB POEM ! I liked it , Life is nothing but mere a pain which soothes our soul when we fall in imaginations and dream something we want but we are stupid fellows as we don't know that imaginations can't exist in reality.
    I love this poem 5/5
