You can't get away from the pain
so you go in your room, shutting the door.

The scars are forming on her wrists,
the tears are drying on her cheeks.

They always say they're concerned about me, about my health, when all they do is try to control me.
They pin me down and force feed me with their lies, with what they call love. Like prisoners everywhere; all I have left is the power to refuse.

And I wonder where these dreams go,
when the world gets in your way.
What's the point in all this screaming?
No one's listening anyway.

They play the soundtrack to my falling tears,
the soundtrack to these wasted years,
and the sleeves hide scars better then I could ever do.
