How can anyone love me... when i don't even love myself.

Time to start another day, pretending to be that perfect person, I know I'll never be.

Can you see the torture I inflict upon myself. -
The scars that riddle my arms - My silent plea for help.

You could never love me the way that I love you,
I know I have to let go of you soon.
The problem is I want to hold on,
Even though I now know you're a con

I scream because I don't know what else to do,
I'm playing a game I know eventually I'll lose.
I try to stay happy and plaster smiles,
The sadness ignores my efforts and slowly piles.

I can't see clearly through all of the pain,
No matter how much I try everything stays the same.
I turn to drinks to calm the sad thoughts,
The problem is your always crystal clear between the shots.

Nothing lasts forever.

You always say smile
but its not worth the while
you say its love
but thats not enough
you say be happy
god.. dont be so sappy
your words are in my head
but id rather dead .

I just wish I had someone to wipe my tears away, hold me in their arms, and tell me that everything will be okay...
