Why do I keep holding on to something that is never coming back?

Every word you said to me;;
every look you gave me;;
every kiss we shared;;
every touch you had me feel;;
was it all fake? Nothing but lies?
Sure seems like it..

You told me you would be here for as long as I was;;
but guess what..
I'm still here, and your gone.

I'll never understand;;
how one day I can be in your arms and everything be perfect. Then the very next day you are saying goodbye, and walking away.

At first, I thought it hurt bad not to have you;;
but now, i realized it hurts worse to lose you.

And you said;; "you can never love me as much as I love you."
if that's true.. Then why are you the one leaving, and I'm the one still holding on?

The tears keep flowing; I'm a human waterfall.

I close my eyes and I'm afraid to open them again, because that's how you disappeared the first time, and I wouldn't be surprised if that would happen again, because it's only you.
