Please do not judge me
for the disappointments
are a heavy weight to bare.
And I simply have run out of tears.

My soul is free like a bird
and my wings allow me to fly,
the only way I know how.

I am liberated within my soul-
free to be me,
to express my heart and emotions.

The mirror only shows the ugly duckling
within my negative visions.

You can never tell a butterfly
of her beauty, but she knows-
The mirror isn’t broken
and neither am I………
