Anonymous Falling Stars

by mossgirl19   Aug 29, 2017

Of the many wars I face
The hardest of them all
Is to look into your eyes
And see nothing but anonymity.

It is my defeat;
To be reminded everyday
That I no longer occupied
The vast void in your universe.

When stars explode
They are spectacular no more,
And the black hole will
Slowly feed on the debris.

Eventually, I found myself
One with the meteor shower-
Disguised as falling stars
While being burned to death.

One small and tiny suggestion I have for this piece, is the last word of your poem.
When ending a poem, it sounds so lovely and flowy when you use a two or three syllable word. Death is a sudden stop to your poem....try the word alive...just to yourself you don't have to add it...I'm just want to give you another angle to look at....

This poem is breathtaking, I do hope it Grace's the front page!
