Courage

by Dagmar Wilson   Dec 26, 2017

I was that flower
which blooms in winter
facing my biggest fear,
standing across from my ex husband on Christmas day.

My daughter had a dream
a strong craving that was never satisfied for 16 years,
both of her parents enjoying her homely atmosphere.

I found myself hugging his wife
conversating with their child,
his hand touching mine.

It was a Christmas all of us will remember.

Wow Dagmar! What a beautiful thing to do for your daughter. It says so much about who you are and what you'll do for your children. :-) xx

You are so brave Dagmar. Your daughter must have been so proud to have you there by her side. A life long memory for sure.

You are indeed courageous and may I say selfless? I am so glad that this was a Christmas all of you will remember. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been or how uncomfortable, but you rose above the fear.

    Take care <3

Dagmar, you are a braver woman then I. I would rather have my fingernails pulled off then spend time with my ex. Good for you for being the stronger person. Hugs my friend-
