Monsters

by Rey Severs   Mar 21, 2018

I can't shake the violence,
Argue in silence,
Dreaming in tastes,
Colours are smells,
Life feels like a waste,
I'm shackled, it's hell.

A heart that beats a hollow tune,
Every beat speaks of " soon",
But nothing, I can't reach you,
This ache won't withers, it beats you,
Strangles in a choke hold, suffocating and killing you.
I scream, never for me, only ever for you.

My arms wrap cold, only now emptiness,
Warmth that was there, shallow and loveless,
Its not our fault, I promise, not our fault
We exposed our monsters, together they waltzed.
And spun..
In..
An..
Endless circle..

Dizzying and sick, it ended too quick,
Love isn't going to save us this time,
Love was enough when you were mine,
Time can only change, break me from these chains,
Another chance would be too blind.

Ready for repair, I'm hurting, dying,
It matters not, forgiveness is lying,
We tried, we failed, but my door is always open,
I've been choking as I've spoken.. But nothing remains broken.

I love your desciptives with this. How the two of you came together with a common goal but are destroying each other in the process. Well done-
