Lady of the Sea

by Kaylee   May 21, 2006

Twas another faded rose tonight,
when summer sun did set.
Sweetness died among forgotten
souls, their tears, and myself.
Shall I recount those summer days
when rain began to pelt?
Yet still that once red rose stood
to dwell upon the muddy earth.

Twas another storm brewing
without consent from sky.
Within commotion of battered
tears and assumed thunder,
Lay silver lining dampened from
a bout of condensed fear.
Yet still it produced a facade of
inner strength, illusion in my eyes.

Twas another wave tonight
being brought to devour shore.
But I should not cry when sand
is erased, if just for the night.
For I know the secrets of nature,
which continue on through life.
Still you wonder how I do.
I am the Lady of the Sea.
