Piano

by Annabel   Mar 3, 2007

Heaven forbid,
That beautiful sound.
The look in your eyes
The love that flows from you to the keys,
You become so immersed,
Enchanted by the sound.
Unaware of any other existence.
The music envelopes you,
Traps you in a world
Where all you need is the music.
And you can do anything.
Anything.

I sit quietly and listen.
It’s normal now,
Neither of us can cope with the endless reality of life,
Music’s the escape route
And willingly, we take it,
Everyday.

Yikes my darlin!! Watch out for your mistakes from P&Q!!

I like your topic, but I think you could have developed it a lot more.

    Details:

As I said with the Storm, too many you's.

I like the ending of both stanzas. Very final, deliberate.

I don't really get the point of "Heaven Forbid". It starts off as making this poem seem negative. And by reading the rest of this poem, I had to realize otherwise. Quite confusing.

COMMERCIAL: Check out my poem Music. It follows the same theme.

Overall, not bad. I enjoyed the Storm much more though.
