Words and inner devils

Words and inner devils

These ears are held captive by harsh cruel words.
Poor eyes looked in gaze that forever look forwards.
Bodies twitch and tremble in constant fear
wishing for those words never to enter ignorant ears.

Each word slowly processes in my mind
grinding innocent thoughts that wish to hide
each shredded and torn by the red hunters claws
turns one to think of the worlds endless flaws.

Souls turn black with each stoke of his paintbrush
with all optimism becoming brown mush
words still continue and an all go insane
never experiencing such miserable pain.

Eventually morals are covered in total darkness
hope disappears and only leaves sadness
chaos rises from the fallen light
with the devil winning this unfair fight.

Speaks to the sinking idea in the back of every mind that each daily game of life is unfalteringly rigged to stay just out of reach. Perfectly described and executed.

The imagery here was just amazing and made the poem complete for me. Each line was powerful and filled with meaning which was effective in getting your message across. Well done *5/5*
