Cinderella-Does That Shoe Fit You Now?

by pookiengurgi   May 12, 2008

Noone was ever needed
They volunteered,so bold
She overexceeded any underestimating expectations
To prove that they were wrong
But then someone came along
Turned her world around
Helped her stand on solid ground
She pushed him away, but he refused to go
Chose to stay
Why? the constant question lying on her mind
Why was SHE the one he chose to find?
Hurts now to look back and realize
She really screwed up-unfixable-that time
Doesn't make sense, he was never supposed to go
But he turned into everything she thought he was
Back before their beginning
Trying to read between the lines
She feels a deep pang every time
shouldn't force your way in, if later you're just gunna back out
Shouldn't be the eye of her storm
If later you'll be the thunder leaving her forlorn
Don't attempt to prove she's wrong-men aren't all the same
If in the end you're gunna be the guy she first refused to let in
Every once in a while, your memory creeps in
Like a cool breeze in the warm summer winds
Your voice can still be heard, a whisper in her dreams
And just like all the hidden things
Both pain and joy your memory brings
She can once again stand alone, tall and strong
Happy on her own
But you'll never be completely gone
As long as your memory lives on
