Reminisce

by Lonely Rider   Jun 10, 2008

Sizzling Summer heat and the sky so blue,
Teasing billows form an image resembling you,
Cool Banyan shade under which I lie,
Multicolored blossoms remind me of your smile,

The dark moonless nights and scary lonely days,
Everything surrounding, has 'You' engraved,
Waving green meadows ,the sweet flowery scent,
A part of you still remained, even after you went.

Memories of yesteryears silently flash by,
Your absence is tormenting, in solitude I cry,
A game of Destiny, Cruel story it wrote,
You watching over me from the Heaven above.

    Thank you for the comment.

That aside I loved this poem. I could almost feel myself being there amidst the flowery night.

    Well portrayed.

A very beautiful and amazing piece of poetry that i adored greatly. fantastic wording and brilliant description which painted a vivid picture in my mind. yeah, i have a weird mind :) .. when i got to the end, however, it felt like it wasn't quite finished. it may have ended a bit quick, but i think it was, altogether, an astounding piece. wonderful imagery.

Wonderful job, I love the use of imagery and the word "Banyan", it makes the whole poem come alive.
~I see a lot of potential in you, take a look at famous poets like Whitman and Frost and if you're serious about becoming published, I think you have the ability to rise above the "rhyming society of this site" and become truly great. Try the site Poet Sanctuary. :) Keep it up
