Memories

by Dreamofolwin   Jul 8, 2008

Memories can be special
Memories can be sad,
Memories can bring sudden tears to your eyes
Or memories can make you glad

Each day we`re making memories
Each breath, each step we take
Someday to be remembered
Or at night when you lie awake

Memories are like dreams
They seem to go fleeting by
Like a picture story inside your head
Of the things in days gone by

But when all of life is over
And we all are dead and gone
When the things of earth are passed away
Your memory will live on

For it can never die
It is a part of you
And when no more memories can be made
I wonder where are you

Forever and forever
Tell me where will you be
When all is gone, and you`re left alone
Alone with your memory

Olwin again a lovely poem with a lovely sentiment, and you are so right our memories are to be cherished as we grow older and cannot do the things we could when we were younger

GLAD! u enjoyed my nice "rhyming poem" , and that i got the lo! brain thinkin HA! thats exactly what THAT ONE was meant to do! There was actually 3 or 4 more verses to it at the time, but i omitted them in the end...I dont like to go on and on about a thing. (And i agree TOTALLY , there is too much depressing poems here sometimes, about ending ones life!)

Ooh I dunno if we're "alone" with our memories when we're gone! But another nice rhyming poem to get the ol' brain thinking! Your works are a refreshing and mature change from the usual suicidal ramblings and forlorn platitudes that have kept me away from this site for a while!
