Beneath The Apple Trees...

by Dreamofolwin   May 30, 2019

I sat beneath the apple trees,
On a beautiful spring day...
The apple blossom so fragrant
In its own special way...

No fruit the tree yeildeth yet,
But the pink blossom I love.
The sun blishfully basking,
Here so serene, like heaven above.

I sat beneath the apple trees,
And forgot all of time....
Sitting here so peaceful.
With blossoms sweet, devime.

I do believe us poets have enjoyed capturing such pleasures through the years. To me, the old language makes this poem timeless, but no less special. X

I think us poets do indeed enjoy capturing moments in time and in nature :)

I live in county Armagh in northern Ireland which is the orchard county here and I couldn't count the orchards around about me lol. Im originally from Belfast myself but married my husband from here lol. I love it and the day Ive wrote the poem about I actually had my two wee grandchildren with me and they sat with me under the trees eating a picnic... they loved it :D ha

I didn't realise I was wring in " old language" . What is it,, I honestly don't know lolol. DO enlighten me! Pkease!! :)

Glad you found it " timeless" and "special" !

(My writing is very simple... Im not so good with words so your comment means a lot ) <3
