You are the best friend a girl could ever need
All you ever wanted was for me to succeed
You helped me out when I needed you
You did all that was possible to do

You walked in, when others walked out
I guess you just took a different route
Yours was into my life whilst others chose a different road
When you entered my life, time slowed

It slowed down so that I could appreciate things a little more
Life, all of a sudden, was not such a bore
So I need to thank you, for opening up my eyes
To all my other so called friends, who were all about lies

You made me see that they were all so fake
I leave them now; knowing trusting them was a mistake
You are a true friend to me my dear
You love me for me, not for my gear.
