Clowns Smile

by Crystal Rose Blooming   Nov 22, 2008

Smile of a jolly clown
Hides the tears that fill their eyes
A cloud of darkness follows them
Happiness a disguise

Sadness is a constant friend
No one will ever know
You make every body laugh
Fun is all you will show

My friend I know your heart
It beats just like mine
Lonely and in need of love
Someone warm and kind

You burst with brilliant colors
When you entertain
Happiness just a bubble
Like those in champagne

Take heart and don't give up
Soon the pain subsides
Your tears will dry your heart will leap
Two hearts will collide

Wow... a poem about clown love. this poem was just as the clown you so colourfully described, funny on the outset, but deep and meaningful on the inside.
this poem is testiment that you can take any topic and turn it into a poem.

Again a very sad poem but one that holds some hope for happiness, something which every single person on the planet deserves, well most are deserving anyway.
Very true about the clowns , largely speaking of course , Well done

I was very happy to see this unique poem that you wrote. It was very creative topic and it flowed and rhymed very nicely. I could feel the sadness and emotion you put into it. And I loved the positive ending.
