Tin Foil Phoenix

by Melpomene   Jan 2, 2009

I watched you burn,
only to be reborn.
Like a Phoenix your
soul perished easily.
You used tin to create
a foil while carving
my heart into the moon.

Felo-de-se.

Coating eyes with stamps,
I sent you to revival.
Although again I watched
you burn, only to be reborn.
Distant within the ashes,
becoming lost within
dust, you "hatched" just
like before. Only uglier
then usual.

Felo-de-se.

I watched you burn,
only to be reborn.
Like a Phoenix your
soul perished easily.
You used tin to create
a foil while carving
death into the moon.

Wow, what emotion and in-deepth feelings are depicted here, really nice job! All your lines set the scene perfectly and had me entranced. Not much else I can say, flawless in my mind. When I read your title I thought of Fawkes from Harry Potter for some reason cause he's a Phoenix.....Beautiful wording, 5/5 from me...

Your words create a somber mood that
cannot be overlooked. I really like the
second stanza for it holds very deep meanings..touching write.
