BLESSED*

Inside of her belly,
Lays a tiny child
Who will one day
Drive you both wild

Your own little baby
So innocent and sweet
In no time at all
Will be up on his feet

For life you now
Have a purpose to fulfill
The job of a father
Requires much skill.

Take our own dad
Do not be the same
Never let your child
Feel that much pain

Protect him always
Never leave his side
Let him know your love
Show him your pride

Everything you craved
Show your own son
Your journey together
Has now only begun

I know you will be
A good dad if you try
Just do not be afraid
If you need a good cry

You wont always win
Sometimes you will fall
But before you can run
You must learn to crawl

Guide your child
Towards what is right
Be there always
To tuck him in at night

You will be a great dad
Just always try your best
and remember Lee
You have been blessed
