Heart Shaped Shell

by ASPHYXIATED   Mar 19, 2009

A love once had now dazzled in dust,
A lack of reliance, a lack of trust,
Life's colours fade to black and white,
Like shadow figures deprived of light.
Memories lost between shouts and roars,
Tear stricken cheeks, slamming doors,
Our idealistic heaven morphed into this hell,
Nothing remains but a heart shaped shell.
Poisonous lies and rumours spread,
Deliberate revenge and ego fed,
It seems forever ain't that long,
When both fools fall into the wrong.

The scenes now over,
The roles been played,
The distant shoulder,
The trust betrayed,
Act 2s in session,
Take your place,
A new found love,
A brighter face.
