There`s A Friend...

by Dreamofolwin   Jun 11, 2009

I said a prayer for you today,
And sent it up above...
That God would wrap you in his arms,
And surround you with his love.

Sometimes our path is lonely here,
And all around us fails...
Our hopes are dashed, theres no one near,
Who wants to hear our tale.

But there`s a friend above all others,
His compassions never fail...
He braved the fiercest storms for us,
Into the depths did sail.

His friendship it surpasses,
All those we make in time...
I know it, I believe it,
Because he`s a friend of mine.

He can ease your heartache,
Give you peace within...
Pour in his oil of gladness,
Because you are special to Him.

    Olwin,

This poem about God is really nice, because you made it a friendship poem. Most people would have placed it in the "life"section, but now it has gained so much from just putting it here. Indeed He is such a good friend. Once you open your heart to Him, there is no end to the love that flows through you.

According to James 4:8 "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to YOU" to do darw close to him the same verse continues " Cleanse YOUR hands, YOU sinners, and purify YOUR hearts, YOU indecisive ones." good poem!
