A Little Candle...

A little candle...

I'll light a little candle,
In the corner of my life...
I'll light a little candle,
And I'll try to do what's right.

For the world is full of darkness,
And at times it's hard to see...
The good things that are around me,
Just waiting there for me.

You see I'd rather sit and mope here,
Sometimes refuse to see...
The good things that are waiting,
At my heart's door just for me.

So many things I've clouded,
Shut out the sunshine's rays...
I've forgot to light my candle,
On the darkest of my days.

So I'm gona light my candle,
And keep it burning bright...
When darkness comes to surround me,
Gona hold on to it tight.

Won't let winds blow out it's brightness,
It's a little flame I know...
But it cheers my heart with gladness.
As my journey I forego!
