You need Courage to be Honest

by Meena Krish   Mar 24, 2010

Tucked away safely
within a closet,
it sits unnoticed where
no light can touch or
reveal its true colors.

For when it comes
out of hiding and falls
into the ears of trust....

A close knit foundation will crumble.

But it cannot breathe
under a blanket of false happiness
for long because...

Truth never remains silent.

Courage...

You need courage
for honesty to show itself
and is appreciated
whole heartedly;

Life is better to live
with a conscience
free of burden
than hiding behind lies.

Wow, when I was reading this I found myself nodding in my mind. How true and mature are your words, and this is what many now-a-days need to hear. You wrote the truth and carved the path to knowing how to make this world a more trusting honest community. I admired your easy to read form and how your heartfelt thoughts flowed so freely down. Simplicity equals beauty and that's only some of what you have shown by stating the obvious, thoughs there are those who disregard this.

Congratulations on the win and God bless!

    Meena,

A poem with a truth that rings like a bell:)

In modern day society all people wear masks to enable them to parttake in a world that has become very complicated. If all people would be honest all the time we would not be able to function ( yes, you look fat; I hate my boss, etc..you cannot say such things)..but on a personal level, and especially to onesself honesty is the best policy and the way to a happy, healthy future.

    Well done:)

    God bless,

    5/5 Ingrid
