Breath of New Air(Triple Tanka)

Sweet delicacy,
Remembered from my childhood,
Help me remember
Springs first storm or maybe some
Pleasantly smelling flowers.

A breath of new air,
Lasting hopes born now anew.
Sprouting in our lives,
Full of Love, Peace, and Kindness.
Oh! My heart couldn't want more.

Dovetailing the dregs,
Conveying unwhispered thoughts.
Drawing to a life,
Life gives us another breath.
Alas' a breath of new air.

Tanka is a classic form of Japanese poetry related to the haiku with five unrhymed lines of five, seven, five, seven, and seven syllables. (5, 7, 5, 7, 7) The 5&7&5&7&7 rule is rumored to have been made up for school children to understand and learn this type of poetry.

    You are a wonderful influence to have on this site. I love the imagery you present us here.
    A guide thorugh the stages of life to a certain extent; i felt like being born, growing up, and bringing new life to the world were my thoughts as I read though the stanzas.

    I think now i understand why you told me u love nature poems..u master it !!'
    such an amazing creative tanka with triple verses !

    I just love it..fasinated i was by the expressions u penned down..and this was my fav part
