Mr Plagiarist

by Jenna Bella Oldridge   Jan 11, 2011

Stealing your words
Claiming your thoughts as his own
Taking all the credit
On his poetic throne

Mimicking emotions
Ones you try to convey
Raping minds of ideas each and
Everyday

Lapping up praise
Without any remorse
I am on about
Mr Plagiarist of course

Who puts his name down on,
Work that is not his
Taking so much
With nothing to give

Accept stolen lines
In actions so weak
Bending your rhymes
And the words that you speak

I love this poem but I got angry reading it...
Someone stealing someone elses poetry is stealing their thoughts and their feelings. I write poetry because of certain things that have happened to me and things that I am feeling. If someone stole these from me, I'd be furious. It would be as if they are taking away from you what happened. Diminishing the reason for the poetry.

    Grrr

    Good work

Hmmm, now here is a subject that many of us can relate to, it was well written and well expressed, nicely written. Grant

A very well written piece. The words really ring true and I like the lay out. I think we've all experienced this at some point and it will really speak to people as a whole who are part of poems and quotes. I'm glad you came back doll. You're poetry is too good to miss out on :)

I love it, absolutely love it

This phrase I think best but I would change one thing:
    Accept stolen lines
    In actions so weak
    Bending your rhymes
And the words that you speak

I would lose the And :
    Bending your rhymes,
    The words that you speak
