Little Again

by H. Elizabeth   Feb 4, 2011

Oh how I wish I was Little Again.
Where all you had to worry about was
Having monsters under your bed.
Oh how I wish I was Little Again.
Where you got enough sleep,
Cuddled up with your favorite stuffed animal.
Oh how I wish I was Little Again.
Where your Mommy and Daddy were
There to comfort you after a nightmare,
Or thunderstorm.
Oh how I wish I was Little Again.
Where you had a shoulder to cry on,
While at the doctor's office, after a pet died,
Or after you scraped your knee.
Oh how I wish I was Little Again.
Where you made no mistakes,
Or had any regrets.
Oh how I wish to be Little Again.
Oh how I wish I had never grown up.
