Pray with me, I got a hole in my conscious
I can't heal it by myself i need a hand to take on
Can you pray with me, my intuition is a mess
And if I followed it, I'll probably lose my inhibitions

Pray with me

I'm stressing with all these questions
As I try to do my best, please stay with me
Because all this fear in my eyes
Causes the fire to burn deep inside
This causes my pain to come alive

So sister, please believe in me
I'm trying to fight this desire
As it does seem to expire
I put my hand in this fire

So please pray for me
For I have been lost in this path
And soon to see the fire erupt
With its flames on my back

I'm wandering this earth as a lost soul
I need you to guide me to what is right
My depression will eventually cause me to fall
So I need you to show me how to fight

So brother, please stand with me
These things in the past are hunting me down
The sins, the mistakes, the pain I caused
Are suffocating my soul, am about to drown

So please pray for me
To find my salvation in this life
To find a true meaning to stay alive
Before I lose my grip, and hold that knife

We could find the trouble; we can work as a team,
Tomorrow we will be better, and tonight we can dream
The truth we believe in, will be reality transformed
The tables will be turned like the winds of a sand storm

Because together we can fight the odds
Standing side by side, we are no longer weak
Let us raise our hands and pray to god
To help us find the truth we always seek

    It being a collab just makes your poem stronger and helps it deliver the message it carries, which is a strong message in the selfish lives we nowadays lead...

    I like how it goes like a dialog and it sound like you are an echo to eachother... Like all people have the same wish as you. The ending is lovely, I liked the optimism in it. I also liked the fact that you both said pray with me, and than pray for me... which send another message. That we all have similarities and differences and you have to help in not only what satisfied your needs but also the needs of others and they will do the same... :) Great work!

    I agree with michael if the whole world could just pray your words, things would be just great!
    this is heart warming, I really love it, and though I am not in the mood of reading no ones work I am glad I read this LOL...it made me smile and gave me such a feeling and some thoughts..

    Wow! Great collaboration! First, I must say both your styles really meshed well together. That's really great! I loved the poem... I loved the idea and the theme. I think the repetition of the first stanza made it even more meaningful... I loved the positive ending. Very nicely done. Great job!
