I told him, dreaming is good
it spits stardust on our despondency,
as though it could be easily sheathed
with an unswept metaphor

He said, but the finest flecks have all gathered themselves
at my feet,
and I cannot fathom them leaving

Oh, mon amour, vous revez comme un fou,
like a man who has found his reason
to sleep

My piece of art,Melissa :) you must be tired of me flirting with you all the time haha, just you are a fresh air, when i am so tired of reading my sad work, and someone elses cheesy verse...though these days I found MANY breath taking poems, however you always have a very special sprinkle!

The word choice is just simple, its how you place your words and achieve such incredible depth.

I love that you have a unique style to start your poems, always, like now you start by I told him, dreaming is good..
its very simple. but not for a poem, you make the reader appreciate being on your page, as if we are a part of whats going on and you are to go into details with us, which makes it very interesting.

However I really loved what he said lol :

the finest flecks have all gathered themselves
    at my feet,
and I cannot fathom them leaving

    ^^
how CREATIVE, and how inspiring, and how thoughtprovoking, you brought an argument in yourr own poem, see ? this is how we know which poem is worth a front page! I read many breathtaking poems. but few are those who know how to play around with smart lines.

Oh, mon amour, vous revez comme un fou,
like a man who has found his reason
    to sleep

    ^
now you started by pulling us into the convo, and at the end you bring up for us a french line, and I am a nosy person, god loves you that I know french very well LOL however they should all interpret the "revez" part, almost a mutual word.

Anyway, your last line made me smile, and say woaw :) well done, like a man who found his reason to sleep..I am not as good as you really, but I relate to how you write...that's why you are one of the few people who i give deep feedback to, makes me feel like its my zone!

five, better wins the weekly contest :)

This was so intensely intriguing Melissa! I feel like I am in another country sitting outside a fountain and I have just picked up this verse- don't know where it came from but it has such unique meaning that is beautiful language.

I've never read something like this- it is so creative and as sparks of its own.

    Cheers!
