Twilight Serenity.

by Steven Beesley   Jun 4, 2012

The end of the day draws
to a close, the last sunbeams
still bring warmth to my face.

The twilight hues set in
to engulf the setting sun as
cold of night arrives.

In the distance a bat
flitters and darts through
the tranquil skies.

The small birds chirping
in their nests signaling
the end of yet another day.

The cool breeze rustles the
leaves in the old oak tree,
freeing dead leaves to the ground.

Tonight the crickets will strike
up their chorus as the mist
rolls gently in across the plains.

Such is the majesty of nature
that always facinates me.
