Ablaze

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 6, 2012

He rolled toward me like
the ends of a firework,
burning, cackling,
then drawing closer
to me as never before.
He took away my unrest,
put before me peace of mind
and forever knocked
the lampshade
from my fear of light.

I think it possibly should be toward(s) in line one, but I may be wrong.
I like the way you used lampshade, if you remove a lampshade from a lamp, the light gets brighter, Could he have made you face your fears?
And you have conquered them forever.
Were you uneasy and worried when you saw him approaching, knowing what he was going to do.
Another short poem, but the message is very strong.

Short but beautiful nonetheless, the last lines really caught my attention. all i can think about is how i was once saved by this unexpected stranger. Thank You for restoring my memory.
