Freezing hands

by Jump from Life   Jan 20, 2013

Freezing cold fingers
gently touch my skin,
your soul still lingers
even after months apart.

You left your scars on me,
told me you never truly cared.
That you could never let me be free.

But then, you left.
and all I have now,
is your lingering touch,
chilling me through.

Will I ever feel warmth?
You surely killed me.
With your unquenchable thirst
for seeing those suffer.

Please, let me go.
Stop running your freezing hands
down my body.
Please, let me die.

Very short but deep poem. To me it represented someone who has had such a powerful grasp over you that it doesnt matter if they are there or not, the cold touch of them still lingers around you anyway. Like you can never escape them just like they said to you.

    I liked this, well done
