Still in
denial

eyes seeped
the embers
of a dwindling
flame

your lips kissed the image
that I was just a
stranger in your soul

trespassing perhaps?

you laughed
that haunting
laugh
when you breathed

"you possess the devil inside"

I can almost hear your voice
when it marked me
baby killer

--

Done for a challenge.

Prompt:

denial
baby killer
the devil inside
stranger in your soul
almost

    Speechless.

This is so creative and powerful.

I love the conversation between the 2 characters, the impact that your wording has is fantastic.

I like the layout of this, it is very easy to follow, very easy to picture the scene between the two and even delve into the history of them. The battle of their relationship and perhaps she aborted a baby for some reason.

I like the contrast between the two as well, like she thought more of him than he ever did of her.

Well done for doing this and for coming up with something so powerful so quickly.

This is such a haunting, emotional write and I feel your thoughts speak so painfully.... I love how you have brought those words together and tell the sorrows of this woman, not going into a lot of detail why she did it, but that she is mocked.... I am opposed to abortion but it's still sad when the woman is called these names, or hated for the act she did.... it's hard not to judge and I know I'm guilty myself, but there needs to be forgiveness and also wanting to care for the woman, and understand she should not be labeled this. She should still be treated with love and reached out to if possible by people who will help talk it out with her and listen....not scream names at her.

Gave me the shivers through and through! The way you structured this too was beautiful... how such few words give such impact. Amazing job with the prompts and love your title as well. This was heart-rending and really struck a chord, especially how you put your heart and soul into this woman it seemed. So well-done.

    BLISS this is absolutely chilling.

It's amazing how you were able to get a bunch of "dark" prompts all listed together, too.

    "your lips kissed the image
    that I was just a
    stranger in your soul"

This is just so beautiful. Wahh you did this so fast, too. Woot! Missed your stuff, girl!
