Nothing but the screaming wind.

by earlgreytea   Nov 26, 2013

Nothing but the screaming wind,
with biting teeth that tear,
or the breath I cannot seem to grasp,
in empty cold night air.

A face without a trace of doubt,
two eyes I search no longer.
(Now searching for a new way out.)
a sadness growing stronger.

Time and miles will separate,
what goes, what lies between.
This beating heart, his darkened fate,
in places not yet seen.

In the chaos of a cold black world,
His softly spoken light.
Now nothing but a hollow wind,
in ever-present night.

Oh nothing but the SCREAMING wind,
with biting teeth that tear,
and the breath I cannot seem to grasp,
in empty cold night air.

This sounds like a soulful song sung by the writer. I could just see it all. I also like the flow of the poem and the rhymes were well suited that it made it sound smooth.

I also like the title for that is what made me want to read it and the emotions and imagery painted in it shows the depth of pain...beautifully sad...take care.
