Dealing with a broken heart.

by anand singh   Nov 1, 2015

You used to say that you love me,
and, for me you truly care.
But every time I look into your eyes,
I couldn't see me there.

I wish that I could open my chest,
and show you the scars on my heart.
Made by you, the day you walk away,
tearing my world apart.

I took down all the pictures of you
that use to hang on my wall.
Cause every time I look at them
I would break down and bawl.

It seems that the memories of what we had,
are placed in the dark recess of your mind.
To the part where unimportant people are kept,
like those people of my kind.

But, if what they say are true, that time heals
a broken heart.
Then tell me why it's taking so long for the
healing process to start.?

It is a very touching poem and the reader can feel that it was from your heart but you need to
clean up your rhyming by following some basic rules!

1; the rhyming lines or couplets must have the same syllable counts

2; try to use Perfect rhyme meaning:
"skylight" and "highlight" "bean" and "green"are a perfect rhyme, while "leave" and "believe" is not

    Hello Paul,

When you love someone so much and have to witness their love for you die in their eyes, it is unbearable. How to go on living after being thrown away like a disposable object? Yah, that can be an almost impossible task....yet, with the help of God, I think we can!

Let it out, dear friend, keep writing and one day the burden will lift *hugs*

    All the best,
    Ingrid

Thanks for the kind comforting words my friend. The thing I cannot understand is why she keeps coming back. She broke our friendship over 10 times in the 13 years since I've known her. Every time she ask for forgiveness and express how stupid she thinks she was to leave the friendship. I always accept her with open arms.

Paul what a heartbreaking piece. The reader can feel the sadness dripping from your pen.

I wish that I could open my chest,
and show you the scars on my heart.
Made by you, the day you walk away,
    tearing my world apart.

This brought tears to my eyes. When you love someone and the love isn't returned the pain is unbearable.

    Excellent job!
    Take care
    Love Cindy

Thanks for the comforting words Cindy. I haven't posted anything for a while, but this was a burden on my chest and I had to release it. Take care.
